Northern Tier Community Action Corporation is a dedicated service provider offering families and individuals in Cameron, Elk, McKean & Potter Counties resources to move from poverty to self-sufficiency.

Northern Tier Community Action is located in the north central part of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Its service delivery area encompasses four counties (Cameron, Elk, McKean, and Potter) and covers approximately 3,300 square miles. Administrative offices for Northern Tier Community Action are located in Emporium, Cameron County with satelite offices located in all Elk, McKean and Potter counties.

Northern Tier Community Action Corp. was incorporated in 1966 and has developed a solid foundation in area communities with extensive knowledge and experience allowing us to provide a wide range of programs and services to those in need.

The Northern Tier Community Action Corporation Executive Board of Directors is a tripartite board that draws its membership from all four counties served (one-third represent the low-income population, one-third represent locally elected officials, one-third represent the private sector, and).  The composition of the Board of Directors is a resource in and of itself and an excellent source of information concerning needs assessment and service delivery. The Executive Director acting with authority from the Executive Board of Directors provides agency oversight and supervison of Fiscal Department, Program Managers and Programs.
