| Pre-K counts is a free program and will serve fifteen children between age 3 and kindergarten eligible. Pre-K operates under the guidelines set by the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning. The classroom will implement a curriculum that is designed to help the children grow academically and socially in preparation for kindergarten entry. |
What can I expect from a Pre-K Counts classroom? |
- Qualified teachers, with experience working with young children
- Small class sizes (15) so your teachers have lots of time for your child
- A developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Learning activities that will help your child thrive
- Help your child learn the skills they need to be ready and excited for kindergarten

Who is eligible for Pre-K Counts? |
- PA Pre-K Counts is a free program designed for children who are age 3 by July 1
- An income that falls between 101% and 300% of Federal poverty level(or of family of four earning $63,600)
- Children must be potty trained to be eligible for this program.
- Language (English is not the family’s first language) or special needs also receive priority in enrollment.
