What Ramps of Hope Does

The Ramps of Hope design and install semi-permanent ramps that can be relocated if the recipient moves or no longer needs the ramp.

About Ramps of Hope

The Ramps of Hope work through a partnership with Northern Tier Community Action, the Kane Distrct Ramp Ministry and area churches.  The Kane District Ramp Ministry was originally founded by the Kane District of the United Methodist Church and is a cooperative ministry working with the Warren Circuit of the Global Methodist Church.  They are builders, business people, retirees, pastors, nurses, therapists, educators, social workers, teens, and adults who have a passion to help others.  They provide all the labor and materials necessary for completing your ramp. The Ramps of Hope always welcome folks that are willing to help either through volunteering and/or making donations.

How Ramps of Hope Serve You

The Ramps of Hope do not charge a fee to build a ramp; however, families are asked to evaluate for themselves their ability to contribute to the project. The Ramps of Hope receive funding through a variety of channels, including offerings from participating churches, private donations, public and private grants, grants from foundations and other philanthropic organizations as well as fund raisers.

Who Ramps of Hope Serve
  • Those with short term or long-term need for a ramp to safely enter and exit their homes.
  • Those who have no other funding source
  • Those living in Cameron, Elk, and Potter counties.
